Wellington, Harris Transport can offer 3 generations of experience in the
household furniture removal industry.
Our local moving teams specialise in moves over a short
distance or to any destination that can be reached within about 3 hours travel
from Wellington.
The services we can supply include packing, export quality
wrapping of extra special items,
secure
storage , unpacking and all risks insurance along with transportation
in our fully equipped removal vans.
Fixed price local moves
Fixed or quoted price moves are a good option for anyone
wishing to know the exact cost of moving home or when extra services are
required such as packing or storage.
Hourly rate local moving
Hiring a removal truck and staff by the hour could be the best
option for many reasons including giving you the option to transport smaller
items yourselves at your leisure thereby reducing costs or
when booking a move at short notice.
We have hourly rate charges for either a truck and 2 men or
a truck and 3 men.
2 men will handle up to a full three bedroom home and 3 men will
normally be required for anything larger. In cases where 4 men are required,
extra transportation will be neccessary as the vehicles only have seating for 3.
Our services are available from Monday to Saturday however
Fridays can be heavily booked well in advance and Saturday's incur a higher
charge rate than weekdays.
Flats and single items
Regularly we have empty or partly loaded moving vans running
throughout the greater Wellington area, over to the Wairarapa and out to the
Kapiti Coast which can be a very cost effective way to move that single piece of
furniture or small lot. Prices vary dependant on the uplift and delivery area,
property access and the items you wish to have moved.
